We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed, straight, gay, confused, well-heeled or down-at-heel. We especially welcome wailing babies and excited toddlers. We welcome you whether you can sing like Pavarotti or Taylor Swift or just growl quietly to yourself. You’re welcome here if you’re just browsing, just woken up or just got out of prison. We don’t care if you’re more Christian than the Archbishop of Canterbury or haven’t been to church since Christmas 10 years ago. We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet and to teenagers who are growing up too fast.
We welcome keep-fit moms, hockey dads, starving artists, tree huggers, latte sippers, vegetarians, junk food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps or don’t like organized religion. We’re not that keen on it either. We offer welcome to those who think the Earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, or can’t spell. Whether you’re here because Granny is visiting or maybe you’re visiting gramma and she wanted to come to church. We welcome those who are inked, pierced, both or neither.
We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, those who had religion shoved down their throats as kids or got lost on the highway and wound up here by mistake. We welcome pilgrims, tourists, seekers, doubters and we welcome you.

Friday mornings at 10:30 am we gather together for an in-depth study of John 15. Membership is certainly not required, nor previous attendance. Please feel free to join us in this safe space as we dig deeper into the Word.
Spirited Discussions – is a monthly gathering outside the walls of the church. This is an informal get together that asks questions of living life in our communities while trying to follow God’s will and God’s Word. Join us at Wiggie’s in Caledonia from 7:45 – 9:15pm on Tuesday July 31st and August 28th
Together in Love
We pray for our community, our leaders, our faith family and those who cannot share our worship and activities in person. Please remember the Bachmanns, the McEacherns, Fern Peart, Shirley Smith, and others who are unable to get out as often as they wish. We also continue to hold in loving care and prayer the families who have lost loved ones recently.
Faith & Fundraising
With Summer often comes a decline in church attendance and offerings. It’s a topic that most may not wish to discuss; it’s a topic that can be sensitive to many, yet the bills still come in for July and August and September. Have you considered joining the PAR program? With PAR one can still ensure their offerings are directed to the faith family, even if you can’t be physically present for worship at the time. Faith & Fundraising is also an initiative to encourage us to ‘dig a little deeper’ and consider extra givings in a time of need. We hope you might consider using the special “Faith & Fundraising” envelopes in the pews in addition to our regular numbered envelopes for offerings. Search your heart, for God indeed loves a cheerful and giving heart. Thank you.
Choir- Our choir practices will resume after Labour Day in September. They will enjoy some down time this summer as they have been extraordinary in leading music worship this year. Thank you JR, Cherie and the whole choir for all your dedication!
Home Communion – For friends and family that cannot make it to worship services, Pastor Janice offers the Celebration of Communion at home. If you or someone you know would like more information, see Pastor Janice or any elder.
COMING THIS FALL

- Save your textiles! We will be holding a textile recycling event here in the church parking lot on Saturday October 13th, just in time for fall clean up. As stewards of God’s creation, let’s do our part and help divert some textiles from the landfill sites and recycle them for good use. More details will come, but we can start saving and collecting now.
